SAN DIEGO — The diocese’s Chinese Catholic Community invites all faithful to its New Year Mass on Saturday, Jan. 28, at 1 p.m., at St. Thérèse of Carmel Church.

The Mass includes a ceremony where the faithful can light candles to venerate their ancestors. That’s followed by a Lunar New Year celebration with dragon dances and traditional food.

Between 80 to 100 families are registered with the Chinese Catholic community. The members attend a weekly Sunday Mass at the church, located at 4355 Del Mar Trails Road, San Diego.
