SAN DIEGO — The Knights and Ladies Auxiliary of Peter Claver, the nation’s oldest African American Catholic lay-led organization, have a vibrant local presence.
Their mission is service to the parish, the Church and the community. Many of their members have supported the organization for decades.
At Christ the King Parish, members of the Knights and Ladies Council and Court 371 respectively, raise funds and provide other vital support.
At St. Rita Parish, meanwhile, the members support its food bank, organize baskets and toys for needy families, among other activities.
Last June 21, the members of the Knights and Ladies embodied service and joy at the Juneteenth Mass at St. Rita Church.
