SAN DIEGO — A new film about a Catholic saint is coming to San Diego … but only if enough people reserve their tickets in advance.

An attempt is underway to crowdfund a one-night showing of “Triumph of the Heart,” which tells the inspiring true story of St. Maximilian Kolbe’s faith and martyrdom at Auschwitz and is being shown in cities where enough people express interest.

The San Diego-area screening will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13. The theater location will be announced once the goal is met, and all tickets are automatically issued at that time. If the campaign doesn’t reach its goal, no one is charged.

Tickets can be reserved at bit.ly/KolbeSanDiego.
