SAN DIEGO — The Catholic Church in the United States celebrates National Vocation Awareness Week, Nov. 2 to 8, to promote vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life through prayer and education.
The diocese invites men and women, ages 18 to 39, to explore a vocation at the Diocese of San Diego at Diocesan Vocations Day on Saturday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Mater Dei High School, 1615 Mater Dei Drive, Chula Vista 91913. The day’s theme: “A plan of hope for you: How do I know what is God’s plan for me?” The day will include food, games, keynote speaker, breakout sessions, fellowship and a volleyball tournament.
The diocese will hold its next Explorer Day from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 22, at the St. Francis Center, 5998 Alcalá Park, on the University of San Diego campus. It’s an opportunity for men to learn more about the priesthood and how to discern God’s call. To register, contact your parish priest.
