SPRING VALLEY — The Augustine Institute will host “Embracing the Great Commission,” a day of formation for parish, school, catechetical and ministry leaders, on Thursday, April 30, at Santa Sophia Parish in Spring Valley.

The event, which will begin with Mass at 8 a.m. and conclude at 2 p.m., is free to attend and is open to ministry leaders from every parish. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided by the Augustine Institute.

Led by Austin Habash, founder of Sent Evangelization and Think Catholic, “Embracing the Great Commission” will be a day of encouragement, prayer and practical formation to help participants live out Christ’s command to “go and make disciples.”

Attendees will receive a clear vision for the Great Commission in their parish, practical ways to engage inactive parishioners, a simple and powerful presentation of the Gospel, and proven resources for evangelization in parishes and schools
