As part of this year’s celebration of the Season of Creation, we again recognized two groups that reflect attitudes of gratitude for the gift of creation — our “Laudato Si” Champions and our youth art contest participants.

Ranging in age and expression, these members of our Catholic community reveal the diverse ways we can all engage with creation in a faith-filled manner.

This year, two schools, six parishes and several individuals received awards for taking action. And more than 75 students competed in our youth art contest, which had as a theme “For the Beauty of the Earth.”

May we all plant and serve as “seeds of peace and hope for creation,” as Pope Leo XIV has called us to do and to be.
