Major Catholic events postponed in Imperial Valley

EL CENTRO — Due to the  COVID-19 crisis, annual events usually enjoyed by Catholics in the Imperial Valley are being cancelled or postponed.

The  El Centro Catholic Cinco de Mayo Fiesta and the Baccalaureate Mass for graduating high school seniors were both cancelled for May.

Brawley Knights of Columbus Council 2130’s 100 Year Anniversary Celebration was postponed from May 9 to Oct. 3.

For June, the Knights of Columbus Cristo Rey’s (El Centro) annual Family Conference with EWTN’s Fernando Casanova – originally moved to March 28 -– has been postponed until the fall. The date will be determined once health restrictions are lifted.

Pre-purchased tickets for both Knights of Columbus events may be used on their new dates.
